The current edition is an urtext edition, which aims to remain as close as possible to the first edition.
The collection progresses by key, from A major to G minor, with the keys being avoided that were impractical on a Baroque one-key flute, i.
B major, C minor, F minor and F-sharp major.
A facsimile of the 1732 first edition is included from page 28 onwards.
