There once lived a man named Simon Peter that was a mess of a person.
He acted out.
Spoke first.
He was spontaneous and abrupt.
Sometimes being hurt and misunderstood births character traits we did not know we possessed so we do not know how to handle them.
The day came that Jesus stepped into Simon's picture and renamed him Peter.
Hope was born.
We all have versions of ourselves that we do not like.
We all have versions of ourselves we do not know how to handle and wish we could hide.
But Jesus loves to go treasure hunting.
He takes the worst part of ourselves and works them for good.
The criticism becomes encouragement.
The hate becomes love.
The depression becomes joy.
The day Jesus steps into your picture is the day hope is born.
There is a better you in tomorrow.
