Description In a matter of a few short weeks, I was informed that my 32-year career as a firefighter was over due to a back injury; sustained a life threatening cardiac incident that should have killed me; and was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that has a high mortality rate.
Each of these life-changing events could have caused me to panic and reduce my ability to face the event with reason and logic.
Fortunately, I am not a person prone to panic.
In the pages that follow, I share the story of how and why I am choosing to live exuberantly in spite of cancer and other adversities which life has thrown at me.
