Heaven or Hell.
Angel or Demon.
He felt, rather than saw, the wings erupt from his back.
Like an angel.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the snow-white wings catch fire, burning away into nothing but ash, leaving behind black wings.
Black as coal, black as a raven, black as the Darkness.
Who am I.
He couldn't prevent the thought from arising.
What am I.
On all four sides, darkness arose.
And from within.
screaming, a whip cracking, chains clanking.
Torture.
Torment.
The invisible string holding him suspended snapped.
And then he plunged into the eternal, endless darkness, that eternal pit of damnation, a terrible panic-filled scream ripping from his throat.
Save me.
