About the Author Stephen Barrett was born in Springfield, Missouri, the 'Queen City of the Ozarks' in the last century.
He never pronounced it Missoura.
He escaped to San Francisco in 1999, where he lives with his partner and dogs high on a hill with views of the bay.
Stephen is currently editing the prequel to Doctor Cotton and working on a new novel involving the supernatural, with a darker love story.
