A voice speaks to her from an unseen source: she's been in a car accident, and her mind has been transferred to a computer for safekeeping.
Her body is being kept in an emergency room of a hospital while they heal her, and her brain function stopped some time ago.
The medical and computer teams are working around the clock to heal Eleanor's body, and to keep her mind from deteriorating inside the computer.
