It was considered one of the largest hurricanes to affect North American coastlines, and it was directly hitting a beloved island community: Hurricane Ike in Galveston, Texas.
Devastation was widespread, and author and pastor Dr.
Billy Graff felt the Lord calling him to help.

Billy describes first seeing Galveston after Hurricane Ike passed, with homes and lives turned upside down.
He knew he was being led there for a reason and soon formed iConnect Outreach, a disaster charity organization.
Before he knew it, volunteer help for hurricane recovery came from all over, producing testimonials of personal sacrifice and of God's miracles witnessed for those in need.
