James is your typical American farm boy going about his life in a small Midwestern town.
His town however is not all that it seems.
To the west lies a wall, a giant metal structure blocking out any access beyond it.
As children James and his classmates learn to stay away from the wall, to never approach it for fear of punishment or even death.
All this changes one evening after watching a meteor shower with his girlfriend Carol.
