Edward Sellers was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1949.
He graduated from Garinger High with honors.
In 1972, Chap.
Sellers got his Bachelor of Arts in Bible with a minor in Education from Columbia Bible College (Columbia International University), where he served as a student association vice president and as a yearbook editor.
In 1987, he received a Master of Divinity Degree with a major in Cross-Cultural Ministry and a minor in Counseling from Columbia I.
