About the Author: Ambelin Kwaymullina is an Indigenous writer and illustrator who comes from the Bailgu and Njamal peoples of the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

By day she works as a lecturer in law at the University of Western Australia and by night she writes, draws and makes jewellery.

She is the daughter of Sally Morgan, the internationally renowned author of My Place.
