She was recognized by her colleagues for instilling positive self esteem and confidence in her students by encouraging them to believe in their potential.
Her experience as a mother of two wonderful sons, one with Down Syndrome, also inspired her to instill self-acceptance, self-love, and to guide them not to judge others with prejudice.
