About the Author: Born in 1960 in Naples, but living in Perugia since the early 70's, Augusto Croce developed his passion for music in his teens, working for years as a DJ in a rock-oriented radio station and playing in rock bands.
He's a long-time record collector, especially interested in progressive music from Italy and UK.
Since 2002 he has managed the Italian Prog websites (English and Italian version), aimed at fans and record collectors throughout the world, to help them increasing the knowledge of that unique mix of rock, pop, jazz and folk influences that was so popular in Italy during the 70's.
His Italian Prog book, a guide to this musical style, has been released in 2008 in English, in 2009 in Japanese and in 2016 in Italian.
