Johnson is one of the nation's foremost experts on police and military K-9s.
As such, he is the founder of the nonprofit organization Project K-9 Hero (Project K9Hero.
org) and CEO/President of K-9 Solutions International (k-9si.
Johnson served the United States federal government for several years in multiple positions: as subject-matter expert and Field Canine Coordinator for the National Explosives Detection Canine Team Program within the Department of Homeland Security; former Lead Instructor and Course Developer at the ATF National Canine Training Center; and a High Threat Protection K-9 Handler in Iraq and Afghanistan for the U.
Department of State.
Prior to his federal government service, Johnson was a police K-9 trainer and handler, an adjunct professor at Henley-Putnam University, and a Military Police officer with the U.
