Lady Be Good was a B-24 bomber returning to base in North Africa after a bombing raid in April 1943.
She never made it, and nothing was heard from her again until she was found largely intact and deserted deep in the Sahara long aftewards.
What happened to her and the crew remained an enduring mystey for many years.
