Le Pater came for Mucha, at a turning point in his life.

Mucha was becoming dissatisfied with the unending commercials product requests.

He looked for a way to elevate his body of work.

About this point in his personal life Mucha had joined the secret Masonic Society, moving up in its hierarchy.

Using the universal Lord's prayer, the Our Father, he hoped to offer an illustrated version, as a better way for mankind to achieve greater state of spiritual well- being.

To ask for forgiveness from the Divine Father and transcend from the state of a sinner.
