The Scythian Metalwork Kit was inspired by a gold griffin in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art that s about 2600 years old and probably came from a city in Russia.
In ancient times, the griffin was usually associated with divine beings and thought to possess protective powers.
This kit includes a plastic mould, two sheets of gold-coloured metal, a rubbing tool, a stylus and a museum label, plus a brochure of instructions, photographs and information about the design.
