Tesfai Tesema became a Christian in Saudi Arabia, and then a missionary in Saudi Arabia.
After his expectant wife was arrested, he was forced to leave the Muslim country.
Arriving in the Sudan, he and his wife began the first Ethiopian Christian churches in that country.
Eventually Tesfai and Abeba came to California, to be missionaries to America.
Tesfai had to survive a treacherous journey from Ethiopia to Djibouti across the Dekali Desert, leave Djibouti for Saudi Arabia, flee Saudi Arabia.
