In the early years of the twenty-first century, a quiet revolution took place in Russia during which an ambitious Soviet Army Marshall allied himself with the criminal gangs which had infested the country and took control of the government, the military, and the media by rigging elections, by assassinations, and by backroom deals.
Once in power as a total dictator, the Army Marshall titled himself Premier, elevated the Communist Party as the only party, reinstated the KGB as his private police arm, and solidly allied all the old hardline former leaders with him by adopting all the old Communist forms.
As the Premier consolidated his control over Russia, a series of events occurred which could have had a catastrophic effect on world peace and could possibly have led to World War III, however, the efforts, one must say heroic efforts, of one man saved the world from this fate.
These events and this man's effort were unknown to the public and have remained so.
Since the few records made at the time were largely destroyed, it is necessary to tell the story as fiction with logical reconstruction where facts are missing.
