About the Author: Dr Joe Lipton BSc MBBS MRCP FRCA Anaesthetic Specialty Registrar, ST5, South London School of Anaesthesia Joe is an Anaesthetic Registrar based in South East London.

Having graduated from University College, London with 1st Class Honours in Psychology, Joe completed the 4 year graduate entry medical program at King's College London School of Medicine in 2008.

He pursued his interest in Anaesthetics and Critical Care, initially via the Acute Care Common Stem Core Training pathway, before taking up a Specialist Training post in Anaesthetics based at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation trust.

He has written and presented work at several national level education conferences, is a regular Simulation Facilitator and Advanced Life Support Instructor and has been recognised for his contribution to Medical Education with a South.
