Description Fr A Dewhirst put his soul in writing this book.
He had gained a considerable knowledge of the philosophy and theology of Blessed Rosmini, and spend the last years of his life in writing about him.
The Supernatural Anthropology was his favourite book and he admired Rosmini's teachings on grace and on the new man/woman resulting from the outpouring of grace on the soul at the moment of Baptism.
For Rosmini, in fact, divine grace creates new faculties in human beings: a new supernatural will, a new supernatural intellect, a new supernatural feeling which allow us to touch God, to experience Him in His reality.
It is not the case that we have two intellects, two wills, two feeling principles: our own intellect, will, feeling are enhanced by a new creation, and transformed into more complex faculties by the power of God when He communicates Himself to us through grace.
The Sacraments are the ordinary means established by JESUS for communicating Himself to us.
Rosmini deals with the Dei-form grace present in the Old Testament, by means of the rituals which pre-figured the Sacraments of the New Testament.
He calls the grace proper of the New Testament Trini-form grace, whereby the Christian is enabled to feel God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
