Composer-pianist Jeremy Siskind has written a major new suite for piano: 9 Perpetual Motion Etudes combines jazz harmony with complex pianistic textures, evoking works by Nicolai Kapustin, George Gershwin, Egberto Gismonti, Fred Hersch, and Brad Mehldau.

Through the use of a great variety of techniques, from polyrhythms to rapid hand-crossings, Siskind has created a set of pianistic paintings in which the pianist can become totally absorbed, in both the learning and performance processes.
