About the Author Gene Pugh was born in Colon, Republic of Panama.
In his early years he spent some time in Venezuela and returned to Panama finish his elementary education in the Canal Zone schools.
Graduated from Cristobal High School and two years at Canal Zone College before going to North Texas State University in Denton, Texas.
He joined the Army and volunteered for Special Forces.
With orders to the 5th Special Forces Group (Abn) in Viet Nam he was then further assigned to MACVSOG the top organization in Viet Nam.
Ran recon with RT-Asp into denied areas of South East Asia to gather information on the North Vietnamese Army.
On his return from Viet Nam he taught in the Washington D.
school system.
Later worked in the aviation industry and received his pilots license.
Later he and his wife moved to Texas.
Worked as Chief Investigator for a private investigations firm comprised of former Special Forces personnel.
He is now retired and enjoys time with his wife, family, traveling, flying, and his military brothers.
