About the Author Lisa Speidel, Ph.
, is an assistant professor in the Women, Gender and Sexuality Department at the University of Virginia and a Certified Sexuality Educator (CSE) through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).
She has worked locally and nationally as a gender and sexuality educator for over 26 years.
Micah Jones received a BA in English from the University of Virginia in 2016.
