Investigatiile autoarei propun o perspectiva dinamica asupra celor trei componente esentiale ale functionarii executive: memoria de lucru, inhibitia si comutarea atentiei, la copiii cu dezvoltare tipica si atipica.
Ea abordeaza dezvoltarea multidimensionala a FE (functionarea executiva) din perspectiva neuropsihologiei cognitive a dezvoltarii.
Interesul investigativ este orientat in mod special spre memoria de lucru - o dimensiune esentiala a FE, in cazul prescolarilor si al scolarilor cu dezvoltare tipica, dar si spre impactul anxietatii si al tulburarilor genetice (sindromul Down).
